OMG!!! Everybody has to buy DAT Destroyer by Dr. J!!! I didn't believe the hype on SDN, but my scores came back and omg!@!@!!...

The bio was really hard and I made some careless mistakes in GenChem. Got plundered in QR...

All in all I have to say that the questions were fair and very basic. The pressure of the exam threw me off, especially QR, so I made a few careless mistakes. All I can say is check your answers over thoroughly!!
As far as studying goes, as most people know already I am Dr. Ramano's #1 fan and I feel that he prepared us for this test 100%. For those who can't attend his classes, I suggest getting the destroyer. It is thorough and prepares you in all areas. Also the Kaplan book is essential for Bio. I took some topscore exams and if your getting 17-19 on the topscore, you are ready for the real exam. The DAT questions were super basic. The PAT was also very fair.
I'd like to thank everyone at Ramano scientific, Joyce, Paula, Leiby, Zahava, Abe (even after the 15 in topscore, hehe) and everyone else that helped me along on this long and crazy journey but Thank G-d its over. Im off to Florida tommorow to enjoy the rest of my summer. Good luck to all of you out there and I look forward to seeing you all in dental school next year....

I think those systems are just disguised as motivational tools to make one study like a madman. If you study sufficiently, you will destroy any test! Dr. Romano's system is the greatest, so great I didn't even hear about it until I got my DAT scores!!!!!!!!!! 😀

Yes, this statement is true just check out the thread "Exact DAT Acheiver Q's on the DAT" Some of the posters in the thread including denverspring, everest, and KTDMD each have many posts talking about how great achiever is. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Exactly. No one is saying DAT Destroyer is a bad product. I just find it unrealistic how many posters make statements like "I owe it all to Dr. J." No one person or study guide is responsible for your scores. So many people do good on the DAT because of Topscore or Achiever or Kaplan. But you don't see people posting "Thank You Kaplan, I owe it all to you" or something. It is the result of YOUR hard work and no1 else's. When people go overboard, it just sounds fishy (like they are advertising the product).

I'll half way agree with you. It is not even close to what the Dr. Romano posts sound like. The problem is, that is one thread and I don't really see it anywhere else. I browsed through his website, and he actually looks like a smart guy. Seems like he could be a good lecturer and a dedicated professor. Just that I can't see the quality of the DAT destroyer from the multitude of extremely hyperbolic statements like, "I owe everything to Dr. J!" It doesn't show me why everything's good!

I'm curious to see the contents of the lectures. but I've already outscored every dental school's avg in America, and have no reason to purchase the material.

Just saying, someone has to objectively evaluate DAT destroyer. For Kaplan's blue book, we can just go to the bookstore and read through it. For DAT destroyer, we have nothing to base our judgment on except a series of hyperboles. And if Dr. J is reading this, that's something for you to consider. Would you provide ways to evaluate the merit of your students' claims?
