Why do you think there isn't a "DAT Average Score" (Bio+Chem+Ochem+PAT+RC+QR)/6?

DAT averages are kinda weird imo. The average of people getting into d-school is ~19-20 i think.

But for the average, a 15 would be about 50th percentile, so I'm guessing that would be about average for everyone that takes the test... What's weird is that you would also expect some people to be <10 (lower than 33th percentile), but I've personally never heard of any.

Am I thinking of this wrong??

17 is 50th.

accepted is 19-20.

16 is 34th percentile.

this is all according to the ADA guide. You cannot calculate the 50th percentile by just halving 30.

But of course, this is for TEST TAKERS, and not APPLICANTS. For applicants the average DAT is probably 18 towards 19?

If I would make a guess, I would say that ~85% of applicants have a DAT AA scores between 17 and 21. My reasoning is that I would not think many people less than the 50th percentile would even bother applying. So, 17th being 50th, from the ADA guide. 21 is 93rd.. (93-50)/50 = 86%? Oversimplified, I'm sure. This is just my guess.

well a 22 (in my case) was a 97%.

so your guess of 21 being in the 93% is in the ball park.
