Hey guys,

I'm planning on taking the DAT at the beginning of May and submitting my application in Mid-May. I was wondering if I should let my schools know that my DAT scores will be coming before my application or not.

Any advice?

Thanks! 😀

Yes, let them know...just fyi however...you could apply in May and if you do not feel comfortable with your preparation wait a few months (July/August) and take the DAT then. The ADA (the American Dental Association--is the corporation that is in charge of the DAT and the NBDE's--National Board Dental Exams that you take in dental school and they are very quick to send in your scores to the schools that you requested on the form you fill out). So, you could tell the schools that the scores are on the way...or you could wait to take it and once you take it the schools will get the results within 1-2 weeks. If you feel ready, by all means take the test in May...just make sure you are!!! Good luck! Remember ADA is different than AADSAS...AADSAS is in Washington D.C. and the ADA is in Chicago. AADSAS is slow, ADA is quick and also very helpful.
