I took 2 BC reading comprehension tests and got an 18 on the first one and a 16 on the second one. I'm feeling so discouraged right now. When I take Qvault practice tests I get 22-24 with the same method that I use so I'm not sure if I should be switching my technique. My test is in a month, please help!!!

What were your BC RC scores and how did they compare to how you did on the actual DAT?

My test is this Friday so I finally started doing some RC practice, only the first BC yesterday and I understood half of what I read honestly, I guessed a lot after narrowing down to 2 answers usually, and somehow made a 20, but I'll see how I do on test 2 today! I think theses BC test are too dense compared to the real deal
I'll let you know how it compares to the DAT on Friday haha

I got similar RC practice scores as you. At least you still have another month to practice. Mine is coming up this week! :beat:
I wish that Ctrl + F is possible...

Yes please keep me updated and more importantly GOOD LUCK 🙂 !!!

Hahaha I tried ctrl + F on my DAT day, no joke. I knew it wouldn't work but I still tried. :chicken: I also got horrendous scored on Bootcamp, and felt very lost in their passages. I got a 23 on test day. Just keep practicing! You can do it! I also made a post on my RC technique here:

Wow 23 on RC, you my friend are a BEAST!!!! I'll definitely read your technique, thank you!

I can't speak for BC, but I know I struggled through a really dense Kaplan RC on one of their free test sessions that they do--my score was very disheartening and I was discouraged. I decided to put it behind me and keep practicing with the ADA tests. When test day rolled around, everything was fine! Practice scores can be scary, but don't let them hinder you on test day. Just keep practicing and reading through different RC strategies that are on SDN. 🙂 If I had a well thought out technique, I would definitely share it with you!

Just try different strategies and find what works best. If you can hit in the 20's in bootcamp you will be well prepared.

Different strategies work for different people and with different tests.

I tried search and destroy for qvault and it worked great but on bootcamp I failed.

I tried mapping on bootcamp and it worked but not on qvault.

I eventually made something that worked for me only a few days before the test that got me decent scores on anything I tried so I did that and got a 28 for the RC on the actual DAT.

Just practice practice practice and find whatever works for you. Everyone is different.

Here is my strategy of you want to take a look.
