Hi everyone, do you guys recommend buying DAT BOOTCAMP? I was planning on purchasing Top Score and Achiever, but then I saw Bootcamp..What are your guys' opinions? What were your guys real score on the DAT with bootcamp? Which is a better combo, Bootcamp and Topscore or Topscore and Achiever?

I'll let you know in 2.5 weeks

Just kidding. Yeah it's pretty good in my opinion, I like it. His breakdowns for PAT are nasty and his explanations for the other sections are good too. If you look in the post history, this question and ones similar have already been asked and answered extensively (I say this in the nicest way possible). You might have better answers to your questions by looking there.

I think ChrisMO7 is referring to Ari, the creator of DAT Bootcamp. I would DEFINITELY recommend DAT Bootcamp over Achiever!

go with Bootcamp. I felt that Bootcamp and Chad were the most useful in my studies. I also did Topscore. Didn't do Achiever

Why do you say so yourself Dentall? So dont buy Achiever at all?

Obviously, any practice you can get is good. However, if you do not have the time and/or money I would go with the best. DAT Bootcamp is great b/c it is written by people that have recently taken the DAT. I have been on here a while, and I have yet to hear anyone saying that DAT Bootcamp does not represent the difficulty and wording style of the real DAT.

I personally like the explanations given for each answer on Bootcamp. Ari does not just tell you the correct answer, but also gives you more information on the topic... ie you learn a lot more than just the answer to one question by reading the explanations.

That being said, DAT Bootcamp does not offer full length practice tests (they are all timed subject tests) so I think TopScore is then the best for making sure you do some full length practice exams before your DAT.

Having one of the most hardest times deciding still which to get ? 🙁 Can you guys give me more opinions and possibly some breakdowns? 😕

Honestly, I loved Bootcamp. Of the multiple purchases I made for study resources, DAT Bootcamp was probably the best investment I made, aside from Chad's videos. Bootcamp is a very accurate representation of the difficulty level of questions you'll encounter as well as their wording. The topics covered match the topics covered on the real deal. It's unfortunate that Ari released the PAT and RC sections two days after I took my DAT, so I cannot comment on their accuracy and quality, but from what I read it's good as well.

I don't think it's super necessary to complete tons and tons of full length practice tests. His questions are timed and as long as you're dealing with timed questions in general, that's good enough practice. Plus you can access the free 2009 ADA practice test if you really want to try sitting down for the full 4 hours and trying it out. IMO, it's not necessary. Just use the bootcamp timed sections.

Also, his explanations are clear and concise. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a negative comment on DAT bootcamp on SDN. Everyone basically seems to be a happy customer. Make sure you check out his tips on the different test sections, some are really helpful!

Best of luck.

I bought acheiver and have taken two tests. I know some people say they liked the difficulty of it because it made things easier for the real thing. However, for me I think it is overally hard and I never finish with enough time to complete any of the sections. I am going to buy bootcamp now because I hear it is the most like the real thing and personally that makes more sense to me to study something that is on par with the real difficulty than something that is over my head.

to haiKUHN: How would you say your DAT bootcamp scores compared to your actual DAT scores?

I know the DAT bootcamp tests increase in the level of difficulty as you take them, but did you have a mix of hard and easy questions on your test?

I got bootcamp about two weeks ago and I'm very pleased. I'd highly recommend it. Also, if you don't already have Chad's videos and quizzes, get them ASAP. I don't recommend DAT destroyer, it's overkill, expensive, and makes you feel like ****. Why not invest on more accurate question types such as boot camp and Qvault? Just my two cents. Cheers.
