I am scheduled to take DAT August,11 2014.

I just got a B- for orgo1. ( so no orgo2 experience)
Last year chem 1 and 2 B and C
I took anatomy physiology 1/2 like 4 years ago.
I feel confident with practice for the QR, PAT, and RC sections of DAT.

So the question is can I do good (17-18+ for GC, OC, and bio) ?

I do have all the study material, crack dat pat, chads, boot camp, and books.

So I plan to start studying tomorrow.
I do work, 30-40 hours a week.

Possible ?

Feedback please

I think it's possible you just have to really study and be disciplined. Atleast 8-6 hours a day. You really need to focus! Forget about your friends and don't let work get the best of you. With all due respect I feel that aiming for a 17-18 sounds mediocre. You want to aim at 20 and above. I went through the same experience last summer. I got an 18 on bio. 19 AA. I did not get me anywhere. So I am here studying again to try and make a 20 or above now. You can make it happen. Just try to be realistic. If you don't feel ready don't take it. It also happened to me. I didn't feel 100% ready but I went ahead and took it.

So you prescribe 8-6 hours a day of studying. Including Saturday and Sunday?

I prescribe 4-5 focused hours of studying a day during the week, and 2-3 a day on the weekend. It's all about studying efficiently. You have a few months ahead of you to study... don't burn yourself out!

I like your prescription, I'm going to start with this, tomorrow or Thursday. Thanks. I'm going to start with Bio.

Oh dang did you apply broadly? What was your gpa?

I Only applied to 5 schools. 3.35 GPA. Got 1 interview. Didn't get in. Called every school
Back. Their feedback was to do better on the DAT.

Not including weekends. You don't want to burn your self out. It's up to you if you want to go over a couple of hours during the weekend or atleast give yourself a day off . This approach might be a little aggressive but this being my second time around I can't be wasting time .

This is my first time around, and don't want to waste time as well. I plan on going to a local mcdonalds to study from like 7am to 12pm Monday through Thursday.
Monday through Thursday will be for sciences( bio, GC,OC)

Saturday & Sunday morning, 6/7 to 9am for math, and weekend evenings for pat, and RC.

Hopefully this works, DAT is scheduled for August

...I think you are going to have an INCREDIBLY difficult time concentrating in a McDonald's....

Why not a library or a Barnes and Noble?

REALLY!! What's wrong with mcdonalds??

Barnes and noble and libraries open at like 9-10am.

Dunkin donuts and Starbucks are too busy and smell sometimes. Lol

The mcdonalds I plan on going to opens at 6am and have 2 floors!!! And wifi , can't beat that!

Also I forgot to add, I purchased today a pair of headphones which muffles noises from the sorrounding environment.

I can't wait to use it.

For the curious: it is the klipsch R6i

I suggest you go to the public library and study there. Much better place. It is quiet. As for resources, also get Feralis, Destroyer, CrackDAT. Make sure you learn the material first. You can do practice tests later. As for the number of hours, take as long as you need to learn the topic(s).
