does anyone know if there is such a thing as a cut off point for different sections of the DAT?and if so how can you find out about it? for example they won't accept anything less than 17 in reading or do they look at the overall score ?
thank you

Best idea is to call the schools you are considering applying. Some schools won't accept below a certain score for AA, others don't accept certain scores on any section at all. It depends on the school. You can bet, though, you're about out of luck everywhere with anything lower than a 16AA.

ok so here's the thing:
these are my scores:
PA:21
QR:17
RC:15🙁
BIO:19
GC:23
OC:22
TS:21
AA:19

this is my second time taking the test last time my AA and TS were both 18 and i have a 3.9 gpa and i got waitlisted in 2 schools out of the 3 that i applied...I had a 19 on reading last year!!
but my reading was just horrible ....i couldn't make sense of the 2 of the passages ...i was actually scoring 20-21 on all my practice tests too!
so what do you think? should i retake it ?i don't see any juice in me to retake the DAMN test anymore

Just apply to more schools imo. you have great scores and hopefully some school can overlook the RC with the great performance on the rest of the test no one cares about QR. Keep your chin up

Well... I'm on a same boat with you...

I have RC 16 for my second DAT but 20 on my first DAT. Most schools I asked said they will consider "both" scores except Tufts. I received two interviews so far...so I guess as long as your AA and TS are good, you should be okay.
