PAT 22 (93.8 Percentile)
QR 19 (92.9)
RC 22 (93.2)
Bio 22 (97.6)
GC 21 (91.6)
OC 23 (97.1)
TS 22 (98.3)
AA 21.4 (97.2)
By no means did I go on a rigorous study schedule. For the last 3 weeks I spent a few hours at the library each day. I spent the last month working on crack dat PAT/math mainly and did destroyer problems. I never really did anything for reading. I bought Topscore a week before the test and took one each day at 9am, and then the day before the exam I took the ADA sample test (not the free one. you pay $27 for it even though it has more than a couple errors. Use your judgment when going over your answers). Here are my scores of the tests I took the week of the DAT.
Topscore 1 2 3, ADA Sample Test(S), Actual DAT(A):
Test 1. 2. 3. S. A.
TS 18 20 20 22 22
AA 19 20 22 20 21
Bio 18 20 19 21 22
GC 17 19 18 21 21
OC 19 20 28 20 23
PAT22 21 21 23 22
QR 20 22 24 18 19
RC 21 20 22 20 22
My Crack dat scores were all generally lower than my actual DAT scores, especially for Crack DAT science.
BIO
I took tons of practice tests. I went through the kaplan pdf subject tests, read up in Campbells on bio sections that I missed problems from. About a year ago I read through Cliffs AP Bio, but most of my prep came from my undergrad classes as a Bio major. Taking classes such as anatomy, advanced physiology, evolution, ecology, cell bio,... were obviously helpful. Im happy with my score, but an animal/plant diversity class that I avoided could have helped. I don't remember a diagram on my bio section.
Gen Chem
Not one of my strongest sections, but was pretty straight forward. Kaplan Blue book, section tests, Destroyer, and extra problems in my gen chem text book on weak areas.
O Chem
Destroyer, OChem Textbook, detailed notes from when I took the course, ACS guide, Kaplan BB. I scanned the destroyer roadmaps from my destroyer, put all 6 on the front and backside of a page and laminated it. Fairly straight forward, I didn't get any of those random reagents from organic chemistry lab (like tollens test).
I finished natural science with plenty of time and went to the bathroom before the PAT started.
PAT
Harder than topscore, easier than Crack Dat PAT (CDP). I did most of my prep with CDP, but didn't spend a whole lot of time practicing.
15 min break
had a bite of donut and a sip of water (no more, no less).
Reading
I got a PM asking me to share the topics of the reading passages. I won't do that, but mine were all science related and enjoyable to read. I have my own style that works for me. I read the first 5 problems or so and write 1 key word for each question on the side of my whiteboard. I then start to skim the passage, and writing 1 -3 keywords per paragraph in a list. I had quite a bit of tone questions, but would use search/destroy for detail questions. If I haven't found the detail within 30 sec of searching, I mark it, guess, and go on. I normally find the detail while searching for another question.
QR
Wow. Saw many things that never showed up on any previous math sections. I made sure not to get hung up on any tough problems early on, but marked them, guessed, and moved on. I did mostly CDM, reverted to my college algebra for extra problems. I only did 80 problems from the destroyer but wish I had done more. Topscore math is too easy and doesn't have the variety that the real QR does.
