So I just took the DAT today.....
PA: 25 (99.0)
QR: 19 (91.2)
RC: 23 (89.8)
Bio: 21 (92.3)
GC: 21 (87)
OC: 22 (90.4)
TS: 21 (91.6)
AA: 21 (93.4)
I was a bit disappointed by my QR score, but I was a bit relieved upon seeing my science scores, since I was expecting to get 17s on them as I was taking the exam-- some of the questions I was a bit lost on. I suppose I'm good at guessing....
How badly do you think my QR will affect my chances of getting in?
My sgpa: 3.5 and my cumulative gpa: 3.75... I wasn't a science major so I'm not sure how that's going to affect me as well.
Any input would be appreciated!
------Breakdown, for those who are interested-------
PA: I have to say, CDP was the best investment I made... I got the 10 test version, which I needed since I was so bad at it when I first started... The first two tests I got around 19. My scores increased gradually, and I have to say PA is something you just need to practice a lot.
QR: I bought Destroyer, and yes it was helpful and yes the questions on the DAT were not all that unfamiliar because of it, but I think what caught me was.... the calculator. I was frustrated with how slow it was, how i had to click on each number manually with the mouse instead of being able to use the keypad... let's just say it ate up more time than it should have. I was struggling to finish on time. I'd say practice solving problems without a calculator so you don't have to depend on it.
RC: I only prepared for this through the three tests on Topscore.
BIO- I borrowed Cliffs from the library and looked over KBB as well. Some of the questions I got I honestly had no idea about.... The questions I prepared the most for didn't show up... just my luck.
GC & OC: I used Chad, which I must say was another good (and cheap) investment. I learned what I needed to know, since I forgot a lot of the material I learned two years back... and I'm pretty good about cleaning out my brain of things that I don't use on a regular basis.
I'd like to say thank you to everyone who shared on SDN, I never would have found out about Chad, topscore, cdp, or anything useful without the input!
