DAT exam cost inflation?

So last year I took the DAT it was $270.... now it's $360? They must be making a grip load of money this year.

I was surprised by this too. Hate the fact that they can charge us really any amount, and we'd still have to pay up because the DAT is the only ticket into dental school. Gah.

It was 320 in December when I took it. Next year It'll be 450!!!

And the best part is, even after paying all that money and an extra 150 for sending my scores to dental schools, they still f***ed up in reporting my scores to AADSAS and delayed my application 15 days. Good people!

The fact that I have spent 2 grand, applying to 5 schools, buying DAT materials/taking DAT, and I haven't even traveled for interviews yet is just incredible.

Oh yeah lets not even start talking about the application costs. Saying it is expensive will suffice.

I think it's ridiculous. But on the positive note, I checked all the boxes for the US dental schools. Last year I was dumb enough to not check any boxes.... then got charged $25 per school. I believe it's $35 per school now.

Maybe I should go ask for a ~40% raise at my work place.

Dude I'm nearing the 3k mark if you are taking study materials into consideration. Luckily, my gf is a RN and makes $35 per hour.... otherwise I'd be working with magic mike at the local strip clubs.
