hi all, so for all those of you who retook the dat, I have a question, they say there are several versions of the exam, so when you retook the exam did any of you face similar version of the exam again? I mean like, first time you took you had many calculation based questions on g.chem and mostly word problem based qr, your second retake did you happen to write similar or may be same version????

They change the version of the DAT every few months, so it isn't possible to get literally the same version. That's one of the purposes of making people wait 3 months to retake. They don't cycle versions of the DAT, either, if that's what you're thinking. They have a new test every few months.

There is no way a standardized testing service would give you the same version of an exam twice in a row. The test version you've taken is always going to be excluded from you when it comes to re-takes.

thank you for your response.

No one knows exactly how the ADA generates test, but you will not get the exact same test again. You might see some similiar type questions. When retaking the DAT it is very important you prepare for the very worst scenario.

wishing you the best..when is your test date?

Nancy

thank you for your response m.Nancy, that was my understanding but someone mentioned that their test was very similar to their first take, so it made me wonder so I put it on the thread.
