Hello guys
I'm new to the forum
I'm a canadian student just got my results for the FEB DAT
Carving 30
PAT 26
CHEM 20
BIO21
RC16

My RC is pretty low
Would there be any problem applying to the states?
Are there any schools that require certain mark of RC? like a cut off
Academic average would be 19
and Total Sciences is 20
PAT 26
Also, i got
3.85 - 1st year
3.61 - 2nd year
3.33 - 3rd year
3.7 (around there this year)
Do you guys think i have a good shot at American dental schools?

thank you
-keith

I might retake for a higher RC because some of the schools I've talked to view the RC score as the most indicative of your future dental school grades. Some study supports this.. does anyone have a link to that?

i think you might have a pretty good shot. a 30 in carving? wow. i dont know much about the carving section, but a 30 is like amazing? 26 in pat? double wow?

and you gpa is good.

however, like you and DGDDS said about your rc, it might be a problem.

i say apply and see what happens?
