...and I'm totally freaking out. I am typically not a nervous person, but I can't sleep at night I'm so anxious. I've studied hard for the last 2 months and I feel like I know my stuff, but I can't help it. I'm now more nervous that this is going to affect sleeping, my concentration, my mental aptitude, which only makes me more nervous. Any tips for this?

If you've worked as hard as you can that's what you have to tell yourself. I've done about 200+ destroyer problems the last 2-3 days and I'm actually getting ~80% right now but I'm still so damn worried. What else can you do if you've worked as hard as you can? Sometimes I have nightmares about this test even though I know I've been studying 10+ hrs a day almost every day the last month. It helps to release that stress sometimes.

I bought melatonin gummies! They help me go to sleep but don't keep me from waking up early or too tired in the morning

Just keep pushing through. You'll be fine and realize there is light at the end of the tunnel at the end of it all. It's just an exam. If you've prepared, go in confident.

Great advice!

"If you've prepared, go in confident"

The key is you most feel prepared.

Good luck on your DAT!

I took my DAT about 3 weeks ago (and did well), and I truly understand where you're coming from. A week before my DAT, I was so nervous that I actually cried a little (literally). I had definitely not recalled being so nervous for any one test during the course of my undergrad career or even my life in general. However, if you've been working hard and improving to where you want to be at this point (which I'm sure you have), try to tell yourself that you've done all that YOU can do to conquer this exam and that you truly put in your best effort. This and support from all my family and friends are actually what propelled me during the course of that last week prior to my DAT. About 2-3 days before your DAT, I'd really cut down the studying especially if you've been studying hard for the rest of the time and you're feeling anxious. I found that really helped me deal with the anxiety and reassured me that I could definitely do it when the real deal rolls in. Try stress relieving activities such as walking around in the neighborhood or spending time with your family and friends. On the day before, do absolutely no studying at all if you can. I felt that if I studied the day before my test, I would've been more anxious that I already was.

So all in all, if you've been hitting all the right buttons, try not to stress too much. I understand that nobody goes into the test 100% confident (nobody is), so the best you can do is to take a deep breath and remind yourself that you've gotten so far. Why look back now? Best of luck my friend, and I'm sure you will kill it!

Feel free to read my breakdown if you need any more tips!

Thanks a lot BlueJay. I'll keep that in mind. This is the most stress I've ever felt. I also know that I've studied more for this test than any other test in my life so I have to be confident.
