Should I memorize the full mechanisms for the DAT or just memorize the end product? I have always struggled in ochem. Chads is helping but I am still feeling iffy. What should I do? I am open to advice and suggestions. Thank you in advance!

In an ideal world, yes, you should learn the mechanisms and end products. However, if you are on a time limit, I'd definitely place a lot more emphasis on the end products. However, you do need to be familiar with the basic mechanisms, such as Sn1/Sn2/E1/E2, etc.

Few mechanisms you need to know. Sn1, Sn2, E1, E2, radical halogenation, mutarotation and maybe conjugate resonance structures. Also, pay extra attention to the carbocation rearrangements. Hope this helps. Good luck.
