I tends to say D.A.T. but some of my friends call it DAT so I sometimes say DAT.
But my preference is D.A.T., same reason why I call S.A.T. not SAT

D.A.T. all the way. And I hate it when people say "I just took my D.A.T.'s"

It's not plural, people!!

D.A.T.

Often it's non dental people, like premeds or the like that know of the dat that I hear saying DAT, which isn't surprising as no one says M.C.A.T. Either way is fine with me, though I'd just as well not hear it at all these days, keep the horror in the past. :)

I'm a DAT. Kind of like P-CAT, M-CAT. But I say S.A.T. and A.C.T, probably because those are actual words.
