okay so I took the DAT two days ago as many of you know and didn't do as well as I wanted. Several people have suggested a retake. I want to dominate this thing this time around. I have 88 days... Any guidance and help would be awesome!
Only problem is I can only commit 3-4hrs a day this time until the test due to work and class. I'm hoping since I've already taken it once and I know the test I can focus on weak areas (bio) and stay fresh in the ther while trying to improve as much as possible.
First my scores...
19 AA
18 TS
21 PAT
22 RC
18 QR
17 BIO
20 GC
19 OC
Here is where I need your help... my thoughts and how to improve in red.
QR: I did not even study; did maybe 50 problems from the back of destroyer + BC test 1 (21). But I'm decent at math. Getting this up to a 20 would be nice. I will just practice and do destroyer problems often.
PAT: I feel very comfortable here but more practice to keep sharp. BOOTCAMP IS AMAZING! Retake I want a 25+. Period. Practice practice practice.
BIO: this is where I need help! i did BC tests but by doing them a second time I sort of memorized the answers to an extent. Regardless it helped. I went over Alan's notes, Ferralis and Cliffs. Not good enough clearly. I honestly think even if I had Cliffs in front of me on the exam I couldn't have gotten many more right. The questions were crazy!! All over the place. I felt I knew the basics pretty well. This time around I think destroyer practice daily, know the questions inside out as well as hitting Ferallis notes hard.
GC/OC: just keep going over flashcards/notes as well as do destroyer. Stay fresh with practice problems and reviewing notes. I feel good here and honestly I don't know what I missed as I felt I knew them all. All I used was Chad's and Bootcamp.
Was my issue never utilizing destroyer?? I felt I had a good understanding of everything to be honest. If I'm going to retake this I want a great score. Not average. Great.
