Hello,
I`ve gain so much from this website that I feel thats only fair to give it back so if anyone has any questions let me know.
I took my DAT this friday and I would be more than glad to help.
Just please dont ask about any specific questions on the DAT, because I will not answer them. 😀
With that said Im here to help and good luck to all you peeps out there~~~:luck:

Hey man,
I take my exam in less than 4 weeks and was wondering how the exam was vs. the 2009/2007 DAT and the practice tests on Bootcamp and DATqVault if you have used them. Thanks!

I thought 2007 was way to easy, 2009 was better Except for the bio section. In the real test bio was much harder than the real deal while math was much easier.
I only used the free versions of both of them but they were helpful to some extent.
Qvault was definitely the closest thing after topscore for me

hey man I appreciate the thread. What do you think are some important unit conversion to memorize for the qr section? Also do you recommend memorizing all the trig identities?

Hey, i will definitely memorize all the conversion units such as:

pounds to ounces
kilometers to miles
Miles per hour to feet per second
how many feet in one mile
Temperature conversion (although on my test the formula was given to me) you cant risk tho
Definitely know how to do all those simple word problems, ratio, coin flips, and combined ratios problems
know the area and circumference of your circles and most common shapes
know your distance formula
Know SOHCAHTOA
know A^2 + B^2 = C^2
*and yes know your main trig identities.

Hope it helped!

Hey I got around 3 weeks left till my DAT. Im almost done with the destroyer, I've done some CDP and RC practice, but haven't really focused on QR. Im getting the math destroyer, do you recommend doing all the tests? Also, for Bio after reading all notes I've been doing the destroyer thoroughly will that be enough to cover the random questions? I plan on getting Bootcamp and Qvault soon also. Any recommendations for what I should be doing the last 3 weeks? Sorry for the long question lol

I personally havent used the math destroyer but have only heard good things about it.
I didnt really use the destroyer at all so I cant comment much about it. But feralis notes are everythign you need to know.
The bootcamp I did only the first test and it was a good source.
Now the Qvault was brilliant, along with Craig savage videos.

I think that if you feel pretty comfortable with your knowledge you should be applying to Qvault, after you do them I would recommend gettign topscore.
That was the most representative of Chemisties in my opinion

So you would recommend Topscore? I have been on the fence about either buying topscore and using those three tests to practice and review my last week, or just straight reviewing.

Hi

I have done Chads videos multiple times (twice last year, once now for my retake) and have done his quizzes two times now in the past 6-7 weeks. I thought I knew the information well because on the 2nd time doing the quizzes I felt I understood the material (didn't memorize answers either). But when I took my first Bootcamp test yesterday I scored a 16 on Gen Chem 😱 which was even lower than what I scored on the real DAT last year with barely studying for that section. I find that I panic during this section and it takes me forever to figure out what they are asking. When I went through the solutions i realized I was very close (one step away) from getting the right answer on quite a few

Do you have any advice for how to improve for this section? I don't know if doing Chad's anymore will help, the stuff I learned from him helped on maybe 5-6 questions and I got those right but so many others wrong. I went through maybe 100 Gen Chem Destroyer problems before taking a break from it because the questions seemed ridiculous to me. For someone as terrible at Gen Chem as me, what should I do?

Thank you 🙂

although reviewing in an important step of acing the DAT, its also of equivalent importance that you apply the knowledge you have acquired throughout your studies. Thats where Topscore comes in. In my opinion it hamemrs on all the topics you need to know, at least on the chemistries. Those along with chads are golden.

I think chads quizzes are golden, but they all come from one perspective, so you should expose yourself to other people`s tests to truly understand the material. Now I also thought the gen chem bootcamp was a bit too excessive. My actual DAT was much easier than any practice tests I took. I will give you the same advice I gave the other dude; get topscore. To me that was the most representative of all (at least for the chemistries).
Also in chad, you take a quiz right after a lesson, so you sort of know what you need to apply, and although you dont memorize the answers, you sort of still kinda cheats (unwillingly) because you already know what to use to solve each and every problem as they are grouped together.
