This chart on the ada website is a little weird, for reading comprehension. Doesn't that mean you only need 17/50 raw to get a 30? Or do their sample test only have 17 questions?

the sample test only happens to have 17. testing software use it as a baseline though.
so if you got 30/50 on some test sim.
that 60% of 17 = 10.2 or 10 and they spit out your standard score
anyhow the conversion only applies to that test. you'll notice how some scores are not possible but from various breakdown people have scores that supposedly are not possible.
