I know it is difficult to precisely predict a DAT score because there are so many variable involved, but anyway..

So I'm really hoping to get a 20 or at least a 19 on the DAT. These are the practice tests I've taken in order from oldest to most recent:

2007 Free Online test - 15 A.A. 20 PAT (I understand this was supposed to be a really easy test?)
DAT Bootcamp Test 1 - 16 A.A. 17 PAT (was destroyed in RC here, 14 or 15 I think)
OAT Free Online Test - 17 A.A. n/a PAT
DAT Bootcamp Test 3 - 18 A.A. 19 PAT (Switched RC strategy to just reading and answering questions rather than Search and Destroy and got a 22)

So as you can see I am improving as time as goes on (these were all about a week apart). However, It is my understanding that the DAT Bootcamp tests are typically a little harder than the real thing and that one can expect to score generally 1-2 points higher. So, I take my DAT test next Friday, is it reasonable to think I'll be able to score at least a 19 for both A.A. & PAT? I would push the test back, but due to one of my school's deadline being Sept. 1st, I want to make sure there is enough time for my scores to be uploaded and sent out.

BTW, I realize my practice scores are low, and I would probably be lucky to score an A.A. higher than 20, but I hope to get at least a 19..

Let me know what you guys think!

I would postpone it. My practice scores from bootcamp 2 years ago for general chemistry was a 18, 21, and 23. The exam I made a 20, and for organic my scores were 19, 19, and 18. My real score was a 23.

Like I said, I would postpone, but I need to make sure the school receives my application with my DAT scores by their deadline (Sept. 1st), because they will not look at the application till they have DAT scores. So If I push it back and they don't receive the scores in time then, as far as my #1 school, I will not have any chance in getting in there at all. See what I'm saying? My other school's deadlines aren't till like November, but they aren't my #1 choices (though I would happily go to either of them).

Are you only using Bootcamp?

To determine what I need to study, yes. I have been using old text books and a friends MCAT GenChem, Bio, and Orgo books to study whatever I find I am weak in from the Bootcamp Tests (which is like everything, I know) . I have limited funds, so I bought the DAT Bootcamp tests as they seemed the best bang for my buck.

Try watching Chad's DAT videos for QR, GC, and OC (coursesaver.com). It covers exactly what you'll need to know, and it's $50, which is a pretty good bargain, too. Also has quizzes. For bio on the cheap (free), look up the CrashCourse Youtube channel. They have general bio and a lot of anatomy&physiology.
Bootcamp is great, but you have to make sure you cover the basics first. At the very least, go watch the youtube channel. It helped me tremendously because it was videos and I'm a visual learner for stuff like that.
I think if you go over all this stuff, your scores will improve for your AA. Youtube also has some great PAT videos if you search for whichever subsection is giving you trouble.
Good luck!! (I feel your pain with the budget)

I would invest $50 for Chad's videos/quizzes and go through it asap. They will help you tremendously.

Im only a week out from taking the test (unless I can push it back and know the school will receive my DAT scores in time for the deadline). So do you think having the videos for a week would be long enough to make a difference?

Yes. Each subject is ~15 hours worth of video. If you buckle down and watch them all, you can definitely do it. There are a couple videos for free on his site. Watch those now to get a taste of it. It might not all sink in, but it's definitely better than not doing it. Also if the deadline for your school is Sept 1, you would probably be safe pushing the test back 1 week if you'd feel better about it

I would only buy the gen chem and orgo on there, bio videos aren't worth watching.
Gen chem is 12-13 hours and orgo is 11, Just spend 2-3 days to watching and taking notes while doing the quizzes.

I bought the Gen Chem videos, going through them now. I wish I would have bought these earlier; Chad is a great teacher.
