Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever heard of someone's official DAT scores being different from the score report given to you right after the test?

I mean I know you're given the "Unofficial" score report but they never give you an "Official" score report. Seems kind of ridiculous that you pay $205 dollars and they can't print out a report, lick a stamp, and mail it to you...

I'm assuming since they don't, that the chances of your official scores being different is pretty low...

bump 🙂

i'm curious about that too, it seems like the only option is to request for a personal copy of the scores on the ada website.

if anyone did that, did the scores turn out to be different?

since its a standardized test your scores are based on your performance compared to the performance of the entire pool of test takers, taken as the number of standard deviations (hence standardized) about the mean.
Your unofficial scores are based on a estimation of the mean while the official scores are based on the actual mean.

So yeah, there can be some variance, but it would most likely be only one point. Also, if the mean changes significantly (which it can do hypothetically. For example, procrastinators, ie. late takers might tend to get lower scores pushing the mean down and your official score up. In the opposite scenario late takers might be those that study more and the opposite would be the case).

Hey Alanan bro...Just called ADA and asked what t if the scores are changed...they told me ..if they are changed they will have to let u know by certified mail.....

means u will get a new copy in mail after some time.... but that happens very rarely...almost never..
