DAT scores: What are my chances?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You applied only to two schools? Why didn't you aim more for a better chance?
Your DAT scores are decent/good, and your GPA is high too, so keep calm, my friend.

I wanted to stay in MI...maybe that wasn't such a great idea :/

I believe you should have put in at more schools. Yes I know it's spendy, but if done right it can be and is worth it. You've got a shot even with a few dicey scores but I would feel much better telling you this if you had more than two schools.

I'll be submitting my complete application before October...really hoping my extracurricular activities/recommendation letters/etc. will help me out.

Pardon me, but what's the hold up? That's a long ways down the road.

I'm looking into others schools right now actually. Thanks for the advice...makes me feel a little better 🙂

2 Things:

1) Your DAT isn't stellar but QR doesn't matter (like UDM's director said). Your chances would be decent since your GPA is very high and DAT would be average

2) APPLY NOW. DO NOT DELAY! AND APPLY TO MANY MORE SCHOOLS. Even with a good GPA, DAT and ECs I applied to 10 schools and sometimes I feel I should have applied to more. Priorities first: Do you want to remain in Michigan or do you want to become a dentist ASAP?
