    Hi,
I have been looking at the average DAT scores and gpa's for matriculating students at various dental schools. It seems that the average DAT is ~18 acad and ~17 PAT. However most people on this board score higher than a 20 on the academic and higher than an 18 on the PAT. Is this board uncommonly high scorers or do people with high scores the only people who post their DAT scores?
    Just wondering,
    Tim.

We are an uncommonly smart group at this forum :D, but I think the people with lower and more average scores are less likely to post their scores and that probably accounts for why the scores here seem so high.

Look at it this way. A 21 puts you near the top 3%. About 10,000 folks take the DAT. Therefore maybe 300+ get 21 or better. Folks who take the time to hunt down and contribute to this forum are likley to be highly motivated towards getting into the schools. So people who post their scores on this forum may tend to be those who have scored in the higher percentiles on the DAT.
