I want to take the DAT at the end of June. I have yet to set a date.

Over spring break (March 25-31th), I plan to read the Kaplan blue book and finish it. My Kaplan course is April 12 - May 25th, which is alongside my three winter quarter classes that are all science. I also plan to study just DAT 2-3 hours a weekdays (realistically) and 5-7 hours on weekends until June. I will spend 2-3 weeks before taking my DAT to just review problems and tests.

Do you guys think that is enough time and dedicate to receive a 23 or higher on the DATs?

I need to do whatever it takes because my AADSAS GPA is going to be very low due to some failed classes. So please let me know what you guys think!

I dont know dude. The dat is apparently harder now. Havent seen anyone post 23 or higher scores recently. But maybe you could be THE ONE to break that trend. good luck

You certainly have enough time if you use your time wisely. Do your best to stick to your study plan and put in at least an hour or two per night and you should be fine. Take your time and really learn the material. I also suggest you use something in addition to kaplan. I like kaplan and think there stuff is great, but you will get more out of your studying if you use a couple of different resources. You may want to add Schaum's outline of biology to cover areas that kaplan is a bit weak on, and I definitly suggest Topscore Pro to take a couple of more accurate practice tests toward the end of your studying. A 23 is no joke, but study hard and you should score well and hopefully will get as high as a 23. Good luck.

On another note, do your best to ace the rest of your classes this semester. Failed classes hurt, but showing improvement on your transcript is taken into account at most schools, so finishing out your undergrad career with solid grades will boost your chances.

* Topscore Pro DAT
* Kaplan DAT blue book

that's plenty of time. sounds you got a pretty well laid out plan to me. not everyone needs a whole year or 6 months. if you feel comfortable than more than likely, you are ready. dont scare yourself too much.

hey-
if you really stick to your study schedule, i think you can definitely get some high numbers! start with the kaplan material as your foundational guide, but like everyone said...use everything that is out there. definitely have to take tons of practice tests...build up your strengths with top score pro, then dat achiever, and then finally do tons of problems with destroyer! you'll definitely feel prepared with all that!
good luck 🙂

Thank you for the advice and encouragements, everyone! Much appreciated. 🙂

Anyone else think DAT is harder than last year?

People, spring break is designed for getting tans, R and R, and T and A. Not DAT time.

The ultimate DAT study schedule...

Study hard, take DAT on Sat b4 spring break, then go bar hopping/clubbing/dining the entire week after.... yea, biotch.

23 science is about a 93/100 correct. that means missing 2/40 for bio, 3/30 for chem, 2/30 for ochem. missing 1 more question in each category is only a 21. GL.
