Hello all,

I am currently taking an intro biology course and would love to study for the DAT biology section at the same time. However, I'm not exactly sure if all the material that is in the book will be on the exam. I checked the ADA examinee guide, but I'm still unsure of the depth of study required.

For example, when it says"cell metabolism (including photosynthesis)/enzymology", could someone give me some tips on how to approach studying for it? I have the Cliffs AP Bio and Campbell/Reece Bio book. Should I just memorize the Cliffs book? Everyone keeps saying it was such a big help for the bio section...

Thank you guys for your help. This forum is amazing!

I would memorize the cliffs and also know whatever is needed for class. However if you are first taking intro to bio you have a while b4 your DAT's and you will prob forget most of your bio anyways.

also, you might want to take some notes on/in the textbook, this way when you're studying for the DAT, you'll have some great reference material.

You know how you study for the DAT as well? Rock the class. You get a good grade which will help you get into Dental school. Plus, I think it goes hand and hand. If you learn everything really well in your undergrad courses(if bio major), you will do well on the bio section.
