DAT Testing Problem

Hello, I've been cruising these forums for awhile and I need some input on this problem I have.

I'm currently scheduled to take the test on July 27th

I read that you could reschedule two days beforehand, but I didn't read about the two business day part though (YES, I know this was extremely stupid of me x.x).

I KNOW for a fact I still need some brushing up...but prometric won't let me reschedule/cancel. These are the questions i'm hoping people can help me answer:

-If I don't show up for the exam...will it count for an attempt?
-If it doesn't count for an attempt, does it mean i can still schedule a new appointment that is within 90 days of the 27th appointment.

Ultimate Goal: to be able to take it later, I'm pretty sure I'm not ready, but if there's nothing i can do about this, I better start reviewing like crazy.

damn u just made me realize that theres no backing out now im registered for the 27th ......lol but i think it does count as an attempt and to findout u can goto the ada website.....but i think for u not to show up wud require a a good excuse not sure.......im surprised we've never had this situation come up on this forum previously

I think a no show would look really bad on your part, i would say review your ass offf till the 27th and kill it. Mine is on the 25th and my feelings are similar, i dont feel ready. But i dont think i would ever really feel READY. So im hoping that i go in their on saturday and do good. You should do the same. Not many people feel fully ready, but make sure u tell yourself your ready before you take it or you'll be psyched out from the beginning, and that will definitely mess you up, so go in there confident. Yea I got lucky as F$*&. mine was on the 28th. I was gonna wait and decide on the weekend, but I realized the 2 BUSINESS days thing 2 days ago. I did call them today and ask if there's a way to postpone over the weekend and he said no. (although you might be able to do it if you kiss some major $$) But anywayz, I postponed to aug 5th, although not sure how much that's gonna help .........

25th is a SAT no??? I didn't know there was tests scheduled on saturdays ... interesting lol ..........

well...i'll be calling the ADA and prometric center tomorrow and hopefully they have any good news for me. I'll report back when I do.

I have read on another forum that if you don't show up, it doesn't count as an attempt...which is semi good news if it's true. Back to reviewing.

I would just go for it. I only really spent 3 or 4 days of real studying and it was right before the test. I tend to be a big procrastinator and get distracted with a lot of things. Backing out would probably look really bad on your end. Just take it easy and relax. I was so nervous on the real thing.

Just got off the phone with the ADA. As long as I don't show up, I'm allowed to schedule a new appointment without waiting 90 days after my original appointment on the (27th).

does it cost money $$$ to move your exam date up if you do it 2 or more business days before your scheduled test? and how much?

also, can anyone tell me how long it takes to apply for/register to take the DAT? I still haven't done that and plan to take it sometime in August.... will I be able to? 😕

Not sure i could do that since i was within 2 business days...the website said i couldn't cancel or reschedule, hence the dilemma.
