I think you should look at the purpose of the respective tests. This isn't really a good forum topic. But I'll answer your question. DAT is an admissions test that looks at quantitative reasoning, biology, chemistry, and reading comprehension. The NBDE is a national board exam that evaluates a dental doctoral student's knowledge of the basic and clinical sciences.
