Hey! I am an undergrad pre-dent. I have this amazing research opportunity at one of the tops schools for regenerative medicine for this summer but that means I will not be able to take Organic Chemistry 2 over the summer like I originally planned and pushes my plan to take the DAT to the winter. I will be a junior of fall 2018 and I feel like I'm pushing it if I do postpone the DAT. I am also an engineering major. Any thoughts?

R-E-L-A-X. RELAX. Do not feel like you’re behind the 8-ball, at all. Go at your pace and don’t pass up opportunities like the one in front of you. The DAT will always be there but that internship might not. If you’re afraid of not matriculating into school fresh out of college, let me put this into perspective....who cares?! I’ll be 27 when I matriculate in and couldn’t care less! I’m more mature and my application looks better holistically.

Thank you for your response! Definitely will take into consideration. I just hate the feeling of maybe I am falling behind because I hear so many people around me telling me to finish everything sooner rather than later so I can be done before I even start thinking of applying to dental schools lol.
