Unfortunately, you don't get to choose when you take the test. The ADA shows up at your house in an unmarked van with no advance warning and you have to take the DAT on the spot.
haha thanksNah I'm just messing with you. You choose the date you want to take the test through the Prometric website, based on that testing center's availability. From the date your eligibility begins (which I believe is within a few days of you registering), you have a 6 month window to pick a date from.

Would you comment on my second question?
Should I study a month less and apply a month earlier?
Hi Esjung,
The best advice I can give any student is, DO NOT take the DAT until you are fully prepared. Rushing to take the test before you are fully prepared often ends in disaster. We have 150 students that will attend our DAT course this summer in NYC, our course ends Mid August and students take the exam from Mid August through early Sept. If they have adequate DAT scores and GPA they will receive interviews and acceptances. If you feel prepared in July take the test but if you need more time always best to reschedule.
Good luck in your studies and on the DAT
Nancy
