So I mistakenly put the wrong dates on a lot of parts, of my primary and personal statement. I put junior year a lot instead of sophomore year, and put the wrong starting year for my time shadowing DO. I have made these corrections on the primary and personal statement. Should I also address these errors if possible, in my secondary applications? Just to prevent any further confusion on the dates. Thanks for the help!

How did this happen? Were you in a hurry?

It's nit picky and perhaps far fetched, but if AdCom was to see that you stated on your primary you shadowed a certain date while your letter says otherwise it may negatively effect your decision.

Better to be safe than sorry. If you have already submitted your secondaries, simply send them an email stating you made an error and are wondering if you may edit it. If not then you have to roll with it and learn your lesson for the next secondary! All in all I'm sure it's not a huge deal but it may be to those who spot it as lack of attention to detail which is an attribute you don't want connected to you during this process.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Definitely edit it. You do not want to start off with a red flag

Not a big deal. As long as every grade was input correctly; whether u put it as softmore or senior is not important (I think i put most my course as freshman because I do not really remember when since I took those course too long ago). About the starting DO shadow, unless u put it rediculous time like way before u graduate highschool, it wont be a big deal; if they have question at the interview, u can always explain as a "typo". Just make sure that u did shadow and not just imagine it

It is a big deal....because they compare transcripts to what you enter. If something is off they will pick up on it and it will hurt you. Just fix it

The shadowing date could be a big deal, but the other stuff isn't. My transcript is basically a complete mess after transferring and switching majors, so I literally guessed on my junior/senior rankings and AACOMAS didn't care.

I have changed the dates on my primary. and when asked questions about shadowing on my secondaries I have put the correct date. These dates will match with the dates written from the physicians I shadowed, so hopefully it doesn't end up being a problem.
