I don't like either choice, but I'll probably go with the tablet...

You get a laptop at Davis? I'm so jealous... Tablets are awesome, my brother got one for Christmas two years ago, he uses is all the time for school. Congrats to all of you who are in!
i also received a rejection letter today so i guess that means i'll most likely be going out-of-state for vet school. i'm not sure why i should even bother to find out from them why i didn't get in, but i've made an appointment to speak with the admissions director next month. i have a feeling it was something i said during my interview regarding the pitbull issue... *sigh*
I heard that Davis is famous for asking ethics questions... did you guys find this to be true? I didn't get a single ethics question. In fact, the only question I got that was on (or remotely similar to) the list of 83 possible interview questions that my student contact sent me was "Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years."
Anyway, I felt my interview went oustandingly well (must have... I got in 😀 ) I just thought it was strange that the interview would deviate so radically from what I have heard... and what I have read on this site.
BTW my interview was on 3/10 and one of the interveiwers was standing in for another interviewer who was sick. If any of you had a similar experience on that day.

I got asked the "10 years from now" question and no real ethical questions.
The rumor is that this year, they were making a deliberate attempt at "being nicer".
Congrats on your acceptance! 👍

I was actually asked several ethics questions, including the "owner comes in with hbc puppy and his 10 y.o. son...you can't do pro bono work and you need to make a decision now", "what would you do if you saw several classmates cheating?", and "if you knew a prof wasn't giving the most up to date information, what would you do...would you talk with other students first or go to the prof first?" I think that some of the ethics questions were geared toward the fact that I have a much more researchy background and less clinical experience (but want to go into the clinical side of things) and that I have a non-life sciences educational background.
oh, and i forgot the most important question...."if you could get a dog, what kind would you get?"
I was also asked a few ethical questions...what did I think about city ordinances banning certain dog breeds...what would I do with a dog who had bitten someone...what did I think about owners who can't afford to pay for treatment for their animals/the treatment of lab animals (these were lumped into one question for some reason).
