This information would be incredibly helpful for those of us who are looking to project what kind of days we need to take off, and what kind of monetary cost/accommodation to plan for when applying to schools for the next cycle. Thank you.

In terms of the day of the week, it's totally dependent on the school. Some of the schools' websites tell you when they interview, so it's something to keep in mind when you're applying.

Attend your interviews, enjoy seeing the schools, and maybe make a weekend out of it if you have friends living in the area.

You won't know until you hear back from schools. Some interview on X, Y, Z day, but you won't know which one of those you need until you are invited.

My school, Tufts, interviews on Tuesday-Friday, so it just depends what you're given. Many others are the same. Tis one of the sacrifices of being a pre-dent, you have to move other things asside to make the dream happen, including work/school.

As it is, it kinda sucks applying to dental and med because it is so expensive as compared to PhD and Masters programs (particularly PhD). We pay for travel, hotel (air BNB if the case may be) and all other application junk. I had friends applying for PhDs who didn't pay a cent after their initial application. But hey, this is what we want so we suck it up.
