I'm looking at wustl's secondary, and a question is:

"Indicate the institution(s) that will submit the Dean's Certification form(s) on your behalf."

what on earth does that mean? I listed my undergrad institution... now what are they supposed to do for me?

Filling out WashU's secondary?

You have to print out the "Dean's Certification" form for every school that you are getting/have gotten a degree from. Then take it to the office of the Dean of Students/Student Affairs, get them to sign that you've never been caught cheating or plagiarizing, and send it in to WashU. Its annoying, but supposedly they've been burned in the past.

Edit: The form is under number 3. on the left right as you log on to the secondary website.

oh good god. this sounds like another unnecessary hassle. i guess i'll be sending it to my schools 🙁

Thankfully, as far as I can tell only WashU requires this specific hoop for you to jump through. I only live 5 miles away from my undergrad institution, so I just took the form directly to the office of the Dean of Student Affairs, handed it to a secretary, and they said they get them all the time and the office would mail it in themselves once the Dean signed it. Hey, makes my life easier and saves me a stamp...

Edit: And remember, you only have to get a form filled out by schools that you're getting degrees from. Not the random JC you took a summer course at once.

thank you!!! I was about to request it from UC Berkeley, but I only took one class there post-grad. Thanks for saving me the hassle! 👍😀
