It seems like so few August MCATers have heard from Dartmouth. I mean what's the deal? They say they interview into April, but I am going to be pretty worried if I get an interview much later than Feb.

I took the MCAT in August, was complete on 10/29, and they sent my rejection letter on 1/14. It is probably a good thing that you still haven't heard (I hope). Good luck!

I know they do rolling admissions and may interview longer. It's just frustrating. Finding out in April would be about the worst, or it could happen like my friend who moved to memphis with his wife to attend UT and bought an apt. just to find out in July that Emory had accepted him off the waitlist. It will be a challenge to adjust to med school without having the extra worry of having to move in a few weeks before school.

I guess I just needed to rant.

I'm in the same situation. I was complete at DMS on 9/30 and haven't heard anything.

Don't give up hope yet! They had all my info by late November, and they didn't reject me until yesterday.

there's definitely a lot of time to still receive an interview.

the admissions office divides applicants by the region of their undergrad colleges- thus the boston area schools are in one batch, nyc schools in another, etc.

they do an initial review to cut out maybe half the applicants, then forward the other ones to the secondary reviews.

i took the august mcat, and interviewed early jan. (but i went to dartmouth undergrad, and they have dartmouth as its own "region" in terms of the groups.
