Hi I am new dental student for class of 2015. I want you guys recommend me some good software or books for "anatomy of head and neck". I took physiology class from my undergraduate, but didn't take anatomy class, so now I would like to prepare it in advance. Thank you.

do yourself a favor, don't study in advance... you'll get PLENTY of that in dental school!

get your self lippincott for biochem buy it on half.com and read it along with grays anatomy for students, you'll use them alot in the first yr, and if you want to go crazy get the netter decks for anatomy. you'll walk in and be bored :scared:

Board review series is more concise.

personally, I would call the bookstore and ask if they have any study guides for head and neck. Then I would go out and take the next few months off to rest up for four years of constant strippers, party, cancun spring breaks, dentcest, exciting curriculum, interesting professors, and an orthodontics residency. At my dental school the professors give out a copy of the actual exam a couple of days before the exam. No reason not to get straight A's, as long as your hangover doens't interfere with staying awake during the exam.

:laugh:dentcest -- how is this the first time I've heard this? Classic.:laugh:

If you really want to study up (anatomy is tough) I'd recommend Netter's Head and Neck Anatomy for Dentistry. It's a little pink book that's concise and gives practical information about H&N structures using the Netter plates that's applicable to dentists. I used it to study for my boards. At least learn the bony structures, memorize the cranial nerves, and try to figure out the cranial autonomics. Use wiki to supplement for things you don't understand. Good luck!

Thank you guys, first of all, I need to get rid of too many girls friends first. I used to be a night club owner and I had enough fun already for my entire life. Now, I guess it's time to invest my time for future. Thank you for your great inputs and happy new year

McMinn's head and neck anatomy atlas
Rohen atlas
and off course Netter's
Grey;s anatomy text for students
essential clinical anatomy Moor ...
