Nah. It wouldn't have helped me. Once I decided to throw down the soul read the only way I was getting out of it was if SAR did something egregious. I hadn't planned too much for what I would do if she went down because I would have just cried but some amount of faking shock/horror/egg on my face/etc. I think we would have lost though, regardless of what I did or how I reacted.

I would have been going hard at you if in F5 I got Rae and PSV to vote with me and flipped a wolf.
I would have been absolutely feral.
But it would have hurt me lol
 
I would have had to decide a bit earlier to give in. One of the many times samac prodded me about it, or before making my lengthy case at the latest. And I wasn't going to do that because I was pretty sure I could keep her alive if I tried, because she had so much good stuff for me to use to defend her and nobody was really countering that with pointing to any concrete reason why she was a wolf. samac knew because of her individual perspective but I knew no one else would necessarily have that exact view of things.

This [at least] the second time in recent memory that a newcomer has come away from a game feeling like the environment was too cliquey. I am certain that nobody intended that; sometimes it's a natural thing when so many people know each other so well. It also isn't necessarily always the fault of the mainstays (sometimes the discordant vibes are shared by the newcomers, but probably not in this instance).

I think we need to make a concerted effort to consider how this experience must feel for those who are not yet familiar with it or with the various personalities involved. It can be a dense and difficult environment to penetrate. I even felt that myself a little bit the first time around, but I tend to be so loud that I overwhelm it anyway. Let's ensure we're giving newcomers a fair shake not just in how we "read" them (because game integrity demands that anything goes on that front) but in how we interact with them and how much space we give them to play on their own terms.
