Death Nommy - Game Thread

I gotta say, SAR played her butt off imo and I was more impressed when I was doing my combing of her posts, because I didn't even have to twist things!
I will say it was hard to fight you coming from one side and PSV coming from the other on SAR, she did such a good job that even though I knew it in my soul I couldn't be like "SEE THIS POST RIGHT HERE SUPER WOLFY POST"

Yeah we just took the opportunity when it arose since we were both online. If anyone had voted for samac or rae we would have done the same thing. I was having a much harder time justifying a push on you for myself, so outside of a chance for hammer I probably would have gone for samac. Especially since her being a wolf was the only explanation that I could use for why SAR hadn't been hammered.
Yep, when I voted SAR and no one hammered and everyone wouldn't vote there that's the moment I knew village was screwed.

Well, when I run CYO in a month or so, there's a risk for sudden death so stay tuned.
DO NOT CHOOSE THE PARROT ROLE

YOU WILL DIE N1
I HAVE TESTED THIS WITH APPROPRIATE STUDY POWER

Oh certainly, you guys had to take the opportunity to hammer when you could. I'm just tired.
It should be very apparent that I was never going to catch you lol. Excellent job

PSV was blocced D1 of the last CYO, and then she, along with myself and the rest of the towncore minus 1, all died N1 because the scum factions in that game made good choices.

Much like the wolfies in this game made good choices.

Dubz will be driving that at the convention this year!
NO THESE WERE SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND I DON'T WANT TO BUS AGAIN FOR AT LEAST 6 YEARS

I think the last time I did something close to this egregious was about that long ago, when I broke a tie towards my nooblet wolf on d1 and rode that cred for the rest of the game. Dark, dark times.

Especially the goo!

One general note not directed at anyone in particular, but instead at everyone (including JJJ):

This [at least] the second time in recent memory that a newcomer has come away from a game feeling like the environment was too cliquey. I am certain that nobody intended that; sometimes it's a natural thing when so many people know each other so well. It also isn't necessarily always the fault of the mainstays (sometimes the discordant vibes are shared by the newcomers, but probably not in this instance).

I think we need to make a concerted effort to consider how this experience must feel for those who are not yet familiar with it or with the various personalities involved. It can be a dense and difficult environment to penetrate. I even felt that myself a little bit the first time around, but I tend to be so loud that I overwhelm it anyway. Let's ensure we're giving newcomers a fair shake not just in how we "read" them (because game integrity demands that anything goes on that front) but in how we interact with them and how much space we give them to play on their own terms.

Too late! You’re in the union now!

By the way:

I do not forgive any of you for letting Zenge say I town read fruitsalad and issuing no corrections when I absolutely did not do that at all.

I forgive Zenge. Misinterpretation happens.
Wow I didn't even check tbh

Fair, to the noobs if I didn’t interact much it’s not because I didn’t want to murder you, I just died too soon. Hope you all stick around for next time!!

For the wolves-- how was this game with no night kills? Did that make it more frustrating or not really?
Very scary tbh

It changed my whole wolfing strategy. I am curious how others would have approached it. I felt like since we couldn't kill the clear villagers we HAD to become clear to stand a chance. I had the luxury of my meta to fall back on but I'm not sure if that strategy would have worked as well if I were someone who bussed more often, especially since the pushes weren't reciprocated and we didn't have much in terms of authentic fights or anything.

Idk if I really got frustrated but when fruit died, SAR and I had 6 misyeets still to go and were up against however many people had cleared themselves through interactions with him. It was a lot of work to spin those to keep options open. He did a great job making sure the way he went down made Indy look like his partner. I was clinging to SAR for dear life because I didn't want the game to go EVEN LONGER.

I think it's a setup where that really was one of the best options, outside of putting together a lot of wolf theater and sustaining that for aggressive distancing, which would have been hard given your schedules and availability. Otherwise, I'm not sure what options you really had to get it to the end.

At the start of the game, I felt like it had the potential to be town-sided, but it ended up being a really interesting setup.

Oh I will say it also helped us a lot that everyone thought there were only 3 wolves, I think SAR and I would have been in a lot of trouble if it has been suspected earlier that there was a pair left. I kept having to tell the mod side of my brain to shut the **** up about balance because there were multiple times where I was almost like "three wolves in this setup would need 8 misyeets and that is literally so broken even with the restricted voting" lol

I actually never thought there were 3 wolves, I was operating under the impression of at least 4 the entire game. I probably should have been more vocal about that, but, no one was listening to me on anything else so, kind of gave up on giving opinions.

I actually do give my manatees in the noob game recommended readings, but I didn't do that this game, partially bc the setup was so weird.
maybe I'll request you for the noob game and I can have a flock of UMN-affiliated people, right now 66% of my tees are and I was.
Why is SAR mad

Wow, I’ve been checking this thread religiously during the game but the one day I decide to be a good student and study, I miss the ending 🤣

Well played everyone! I suspected Dubz but SAR was completely a surprise. Nicely done, playing a misyeet dependent game sounds absolutely terrifying. I told AM in my chat that I really hoped no one needed a sub because I was lost by day 2 🥲

I told AM I could sub for rae if she needed one, and then was like "dear god I hope she doesn't"

I tried. I really tried in the end.
In every world SAR was a god damn wolf
I knew that
But everyone thought I was bananas.

You had me so hard. I checked in on my lunch break anticipating coming and posting a few times and noped out of there 😂

Aka SAR is never here often enough to powerwolf in that fashion
