Ok So Im not feeling too confident about Dec 1st...Duuno y

Anybody else wanna share whats going through your mind right now?

I think it's important for everyone to remember that dec. 1st is NOT the end all be all for dental school acceptances. It is merely the first day acceptances are allowed to be sent out, but you could hear anytime after dec. 1st. If you don't hear on day one, don't freak out, there will still be plenty of spots open post dec. 1st.

I'm not trying to be a downer, but it is much easier to have 1 or more acceptances that were pre-dec 1 to feel good. that is true, but it's not like anyone can do/change anything. everything is out of your hands now.. just chill and hope for the best.

you have multiple interviews. You are ahead of many people. You can search this forum and see people who have 0 and just hope that maybe they can get something when people after the 1st wave.

You should be happy you are at least 1 step closer than others. I'm sure they'll take feeling of worrying of will they accept me over will someone please interview me.

case has a high % of acceptances and MWU-IL also has a 70% chance of acceptance. You are more than fine enough dont worry.

Chippy what are you worried about? UofMN has a 76% acceptance rate, I'm sure you'll be fine.

But I wouldnt get my hopes up about Marquette, they only have a 38% OOS acceptance rate. So you can probably forget about that one.

I can deal with not getting into a school because I never made it to the interview round; I can't deal with someone rejecting me after the interview. That's essentially telling me I have the personality of a ball of lint.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've only had one interview from NYU in October. I've had several rejections already. It hurts like hell-this is my second time applying. I couldn't sleep last night after seeing my status on UOP "re-review in mid-January"--i.e. looked at you but we are delaying the torture and will send the doom deny letter later.

I've never been so stressed--can't focus on school, wedding, or anything. :*(

Second reason being that I told all the schools that AADSAS is recalculating my sGPA... to which AADSAS told me they'd do that when they start verifying for the academic update.. so my application is probably on hold for selection from the schools I interviewed at.

Really?! 😕 If they messed up they should fix it and ASAP too!

aadsas screwed up my science gpa as well, but my predental advisor at school basically told me i'd have to submit all this supporting evidence to change it, so i figured it wasn't worth it. did my advisor lie to me? did you just call them up and change it?

back to ur question though, ASDOH, MWU and LECOM wouldnt care about AADSAS messin with ur sGPA. Those schools are more about personality and characters than stats. You are invited to be interviewed so they must like your application including sGPA. So the rest was up to your interview.

u should call schools if u are gonna be penalized for such updates and have to be wait longer to hear back acceptance/wait-listed

Total opposite my man, hell, I even physically avoid the women I find attractive at work (come into the shift praying I don't get a hot RN assigned to any of my patients; unavoidable in the ER unfortunately!) Seriously worried about focusing in dental school...

I called them. I emailed them. One person I've been keeping in contact with says that they will update it once they start verifying again. Another person says those classes fall under other-science based on the course description and to send in documentation if I want to pursue it further. Quite confusing.
