I didn't keep my deal of not going on SDN until Nov. 30 at 11pm :laugh: Too hard. I know what you mean OP, I don't feel confident about Dec 1. One reason being that my interviews were okay or below average, and my stats aren't great. Second reason being that I told all the schools that AADSAS is recalculating my sGPA... to which AADSAS told me they'd do that when they start verifying for the academic update.. so my application is probably on hold for selection from the schools I interviewed at.

Hahah, true, while confidence can be sexy... and possibly the hair flip and such..haha, it's best to stay away from super attractive men when you're already taken. Must fight the temptation! :laugh: Half of my girl friends find shy guys attractive versus the confident kind. Opinions are so diverse!
 
Haha, I miss my partying days... Business majors party WAY more than science majors. They were a fun group.

+1 for weekend warriors! I LOVE going out and meeting women - probably one of my favorite past times 😀 haha. I will say though, its all about confidence. As long as your willing to talk to them, make them feel cool, and keep an interesting convo, its all good from there. 👍

then convince them to go into dental hygiene so you can save a ton of cash for a hygienist 🙂
 
So have you guys who are waiting for Dec. 1st already had an interview with a Dental School? Or is Dec. 1 when you are invited to interviews at schools?

I actually went to a HS in WA and have hs friends in frat and sorority in uw. Me being in AZ is a whole another story but I know they get pretty wild. lol

sometimes i wish i didnt have to study so much and enjoy the life as normal college kids do. 🙁
I, going to one of the best party schools in the nation, dont get to live it up.. 🙁

Haha. Thats why my best friends aren't science majors. Weekend warrior here too except its not my past time old man. :laugh: haha jk.

Nah, mind just goes blank... so I tend toward more average looking but intelligent women (the geek, book worm, etc type), that way I can still manage a decent conversation. Hate going to my GP, she's way way too friendly and concerned (and hot), I end up stumbling through whatever I'm seeing her for.

I'm similar, in that I'm not great at talking to women that I have a romantic interest in (not hot women in general, just ones I'm interested in). Somehow I managed to score an awesome girlfriend so I'm just counting my lucky stars and making sure I don't screw it up haha.

👍, wish I was 24... good times, but even at 28 I still feel young, and sure as hell don't think of myself as old; now if I can just fit Kilimanjaro somewhere between dental school years...

You're fine (isn't that around the average age for people entering dental school?). Hell, you're probably some hot babe barely able to fend off the guys. Keep focused on dschool and don't get pregnant.

Lol dang u guys are old. I always wondered what the average age of Sdn posters were. I'm only 21 and I feel old ha. Any1 else around 21?

Kahr, I don't creep, I actively post. I try to keep things optimistic and give people honest advice. And my predents is the same as my SDN username. It shows all of my interviews and rejections to date.

i always thought the majority are fresh 21 year olds and the average was thrown off by the odd 40-60 year olds in the class lol

lol 21 yr olds are easily confused and misled lol i wish i knew what i know now at 21.

most grads are 22 when they graduate (in the states) and not everyone gets in the first year after school or applies that early. so I can see the avg age being 23 to 24.

I used to have a neighbor who was an MD resident and he totally played the doctor card to lay very hot fine women including many nurses. He was da man!

My favorite past time too lol. Confidence and being a funny dude is my recipe for scoring.

in an environment where scoring is socially acceptable, one better be actually funny or intelligent, or else confidence can become a turnoff 😎
