Thanks to everyone who has responded--both with positive comments and more tempered ones, haha. I have an updated list, but I still would like to cut about 5 more schools (if it matters, I'm considering cutting all Cali ones, as I'll have a limited time back in the US for interviews, and I'm not applying to many other west coast schools. Thoughts)? @Goro, thank you for your specific insight. I tried to take as much of it as possible while adjusting it to make it more appropriate for my own life (ex: you suggested JHU, I imagine WashU

Another good one to add would be Case western, but I think you will have your pick at a number of schools
