Deciding on a Major(s)

Hi, my name is FreeMan. This name was taken so I added "The"... hope the first FreeMan doesn't mind...!

Anyway, I am currently completing my 1st year of studying for my Associates in Pre-Mechanical Engineering. I am very interested in psychology tho as well as biology (and all sciences except tons and tons of chemistry).

I'm very concerned about the future employment rates and the salary of any job I am interested in, and I understand that getting certain levels of education in various fields (rather then,say, getting a single degree) can qualify you for the job that you want.

So, considering interest in:

>Psychology
>Biology
>Engineering

Can anyone recommend a particular type of job (not including Human factors psychology/ergonomics psychology/engineering psychology) that might require certain qualifications in the above fields?

I have a BA in psychology. I've got a profile on a job search website and I sometimes get e-mails from companies offering me to apply for some of their positions. These companies are typically offering sales jobs. Generally speaking, these jobs are insurance sales jobs or other similar type of marketing jobs. Another company was looking for project managers. A BA in psychology is beneficial for people looking to work in team environments. I should also note that I have a lot of retail work experience, so that is also a plus if I wanted to apply for one of these jobs.

However, generally a BA i psychology is not enough for a career in psychology. For example, if you want to have a private practice or if you are looking to provide mental health service. Health care is a growing industry and I often hear that it is one of the most promising areas for new jobs. I'm currently hoping to get accepted into a Marriage and Family Therapy program, but if you aren't necessarily looking for a career in psychology, a BA in psychology may still be a nice addition.

I'm not sure how it would help you if you are going to stick with engineering, as that is not my academic area. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't want to work in sales, but at the same time, I don't intend to exit college with anything less than a masters.
