If anyone has decided on where they're heading next year, post it here!

Also, does anyone know when the last day is before we have to choose only 1 acceptance? I think for MD it's May 15, but is it different for MD/PhD?

I would like to know that as well. I thought it was May 15th as well; however, I just got back from an interview at Ohio State, and the MD/PhD administrator said that it was April 15th.

well, amigos, i have decided for sure to go to utsw. i've somehow managed to get exactly one interview and exactly one acceptance. (the jury is still out on irvine but IMO utsw>>irvine). thankfully, utsw was very close to the top of my list of places to go 🙂

well, amigos, i have decided for sure to go to utsw .... 🙂

you no longer have to fear the old UTSW grading policy that has screwed me over during residency interviews. According to the dean:

"The new grading system will be effective beginning in July 2009 as is as follows:
The first half of the first year will be Pass/Fail.....
Beginning with the second half of the first year and continuing through the clinical rotations of the third year, students will be graded using a letter grade system (A, B+, B, C, & F). The numeric cutoffs for grades will be publicized at the beginning of each course. Having grades awarded in this manner rather than a "normative" basis (grading curve) should eliminate any perception among students that they are competing with each other for grades.
The fourth year will continue to be graded on a Pass/Fail system."

I heard about that too, Myempire1. Wes Norred sent out an e-mail to all accepted applicants about it. I was very pleased. I wish it was still just P/F, but the worst part is gone -- curved grading.

And, fastand, I have one acceptance only too -- UTSW 😀

yup, it was a great day yesterday when i found out. though i feel like my undergraduate school has prepared me quite well for a stressful academic environment, its nice to know that i'll be able to "test the waters" for the first semester and decide how i want to approach studying while in med school.
