Curious as to how this would work. Let's say I apply to physical medicine and am worried about the risk of getting a civilian deferment(as this has happened the last few years).
Does this mean that I would need to apply to both civilian transitional years as well as civilian PGY-2 PM&R slots to cover myself? Or just the transitional year and apply for the PGY-2 position the following year? Or would I end up in an Army transitional year instead and apply civilian PGY-2?
