Does anyone know if schools will let you defer until 2008 if you are accepted? I haven't been accepted anywhere yet, and I have to make some decisions regarding a job and housing. I am afraid that I will get accepted sometime in june and by then already made a year commitment, and it would be perfect if I could just defer my enrollment by one year. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks a lot.

AKA you want to get in-state tuition? I truly don't know the answer to this question but I know most schools will let you take a year off somewhere in there. You have 5 yrs to graduate (1 yr off max)

I believe one cannot defer enrollment (in fact most of the schools I applied to/researched mention this in their admission info). But, like sugarnacl mentioned, once you have started, you can sometimes take a year off...
