 we get asked this question all the time! (I'm a P1)

Professionalism - The lame adjustments in my intrinsic behavior I modulate in order to present the facade of being a mature, responsible adult in front of patients.

 You're too funny!!! This literally made me laugh out loud at 4:00 in the morning...

I'm a 1PD at UF and they are constantly harping on us to be professionals. I'm an older student (a career changer), so I don't think I have a problem with appearing mature and responsible. But sometimes I think it's important to remind some of the younger students about this. For them, it's not yet natural. They say the brain doesn't fully mature until around age 24. ("They" is a Time magazine article from a couple of years ago.)

That is a lie. I'm 24. If this is mature as I get, I'm screwed....and for the love of God, I should never, ever have children.

I could not define it, but I know it when I see it.....
