Hey guys, does anyone have any insight about the hold up on processing applications at the California Board of Pharmacy? They have stated that they will not be responding to emails or voicemails till March 3rd!!! I already passed the NAPLEX and the CPJE, but I can't work till I get my license number. I was supposed to get some sore of letter over a month ago, but I still havn't gotten anything, and I can't ask them because they refuse to answer! Anyone have any idea what's goin on??(it may have something to do with the cali govt crisis, but they can't even respond to emails...seriously!)

i m in the same situation. i m waiting for the board to process my application for NAPLEX and CPJE. it has been more than one and half month since our school submitted our application. and now they are telling the school that they won't be processing until the end of february because they are in process of training the staff. WTF????

Maybe it has something to do with the budget crisis in Sacramento? I think the whole city was shut down. Now that they finally passed a budget maybe you'll make some progress.

ALSO:
from the pharmacy.ca.gov website:

Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order S-16-08, beginning in February 2009, the Board of Pharmacy office will be closed the first and third Friday of each month until further notice.

So it looks like things are going to be moving prett-ty slowly over in Sac-town. 😕

You should be thankful that he didn't layoff half the office staff at the board of pharmacy. It's what he wanted to do. (And probably should have been able to do.)

I really don't understand why it takes so long to verify some test results and do some data entry. Government is funny like that sometimes.
