As long as the whole/complete packet makes it into the admissions office before the deadline, it should be ok.

I applied to 5 schools(UCSF, LLU, USC, UC, UPENN) and all the applications made it right on the day of deadline. I interviewed at all the places.
BUT I don't recommend this to anyone. So send your papers in as soon as you can.

thank u very much lafea,i need ur guidance to clear many of my doubts which are bothering me a lot.actualy my situation is very bad and i have to join the schools in this application process, but i could start preparing for the part 2 only from mid june.i want to know whether the schools which are asking for part 1 will be giving preference to those completed their part 2? moreover i want to know how many months will it take for an average student to prepare for part 2?

I am the poster child for your average student- that is hard work and consistency get me farther than any inherent genius. It took me 6 months to study for part 2. But I was also working at the time. Maybe if I had glued myself to the books, maybe 4-4.5 months? This is subjective.

I am not sure how to answer part 1 of your question. At my interviews there people who had both parts and people who had just one. I truly believe that the admission committee looks at an applicant as a whole- stats, experience, statement of purpose, reco letters- the whole package.
