Actually the reason I want to delay is I don't want a degree from the college I go to. I no longer beleive in the place and want to transfer back to my old college and complete my degree there. It may be an odd reason, but I really hate this school! Though it is one the more difficult schools to get in in my country, I consider a degree from here to be a blemish on my record and I am not prepared to list it as my alma mater.

If its not possible to delay I will prob. formally refuse my degree and go back to college for a few semesters after Columbia in 2009. Still looking for answers if it is possible to delay though?????

Hmm... I'm curious about what schools you're talking about. Please share. You in canada right?

I still dont get it, what's the undergraduate degree gonna benefit you after you get a DDS. I'm the opposite of you. I DONT WANT TO GRADUATE IF I DONT HAVE TO. I'm pretty damn lazy.

Columbia accepted you without a degree? - must have had killer stats to make-up for it!

Your right, a undergrad degree wont make make me any money. But I suppose its the principal of the thing. I dont want to associate myself with that place.

Yup, I'm in Canada. The school is.....hell what if some Columbia exec is reading this and know my motives for delaying are so funky. They may not let me do it! I'll give you a hint: its on a mountain.

🙄 Respectful!

I got it! Rocky Mountain University! BTW delaying one year and getting your degree then going to dental school is pretty complecated, what if something goes wrong and you don't get to graduate in the coming year.

I am thinking about applying to Columbia with 3.4 GPA and 19/20's DAT without a degree... ever seen someone got in with similar stats?

Retake DAT. They have an average of 21. Dude, your GPA's fine.

Ive got like 110 credits, so i have room to play with. I suppose I can always go to CU without a degree if it doesnt work out. But under no circumstances will Rocky Mountain U have the ability to count me as their alumnus!

Holy cow, I was just guessing, I don't know any Canadian University, thus I just made up Rock Mountain U. Pretty lucky huh~ Man I have 130 credits, and I'm tired of undergraduate already.

Paolorossifan, there's only one school you could be talking about. On a Royal Mountain I'm guessing. What on earth is wrong with that school?! In my opinion, it's the most internationally recognized canadian school, and it's in a pretty awesome city. Why so down on it?

Right, the city is very cool. And it is recognized. But way too beaurocratic for one thing. Since when did this place become a "buisness place" (University official) and not a place of learning. The profs and many other students are lamo but think their hot **** b/c their here with no other talent to speak of. I'm not saying Im some super genious, but I aint cool with being mentioned in same breath as them.

You are just a slimy p.....n...... my two cents

honestly, i somewhat agree with yagoubian (perhaps not in those words). though it is admirable that you are standing for what you believe are "principles", I think you have to get over your hatred for your school. Its not worth it to delay your matriculation solely because you don't want to be associated with your current school. just doesn't make much sense.
