OP your chances are excellent. That upward trend really speaks your reinventing yourself after what happened sophomore year. The incident, as you've described it above, is very rare to see in a pre-med, certainly one as well-travelled as you, but I think your Dean will keep his word and push the paperwork through. Keep it up! Your GPA and MCAT are fantastic. Shoot for the stars :)
