Agree.IDK. If you were a US citizen you'd be a rock star. You've probably got a shot as it is at a lot of US schools. I wonder if @Goro has anything to say about Canadian applicants.
That includes the likes of Harvard, Yale, and Stanford if they've taken more than a few international applicants; stats wise you are competitive for any school in the country.Agree.
OP, look at MSAR Online and target schools that have accepted more than 2-3 international applicants.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I am doing my undergrad at an American university, and am also banking on the fact that a couple of US medical schools treat Canadians as OOS. All of my shadowing has been at the same local hospital in the US because I figured shadowing isn’t really emphasized in Canadian med school applications. (All my activities were in the US, I have maybe 100 clinical hours in Canada from the summer after high school that I could include for Canadian applications)Connect with F1doctors.org . Also be aware that even though 2-3 internationals matriculating may indicate some inclination to accept international students, it's not clear if they are internationals studying in the US vs. outside (in Canada), but usually they have taken courses in the US first. I think MD/PhD's are included as matriculants into the MSAR profile. MSTP is more flexible allowing non-US citizens.

Your school may have a subscription to it already.Ah. I've been holding off on buying MSAR, but I guess it's time. Thank you!
Your prehealth advising office should already have a subscription, and it's possible they may have codes to share or for discounted purchase. Furthermore, if you sign up for the AAMC Virtual Fair, you could get discounted access (15% off).Ah. I've been holding off on buying MSAR, but I guess it's time. Thank you!
