Is one closer to family? Why are you leaning towards Michigan? Cost difference?

Honestly from your pros and cons list they all seem pretty similar between UW, Duke, and Michigan.

Also did you request a Michigan financial aid package? I think they should be coming out with more soon (I requested mine within 5 min but still haven't got it tho).

These are all great schools. I know you said you want to leave financials out of it, for now, ~ but I think it will come down to proximity to family, cost of attendance, location, and preferred specialty.

During interview day, Michigan's mission and values really resonated with me. Many opportunities to do research, impact curriculum,...

In regards to financial aid, I did get the estimate! It doesn't cover much, but definitely better than nothing. Still waiting on packages from other schools

You really can't go wrong with any of them. If one is significantly cheaper, I would say go there or if one is much closer to family and that is important to you. But unless you have any other deciding factors not listed it seems like you'd be happy at any of them! Michigan seems like where you'd be happiest based on how small the cons see comparatively to the other imo. depending on how big weather is to you/would affect you.

All the schools are great here, can’t really go wrong. Based on matchlists/historic reputation/opportunity to have a year dedicated to research, I’d say Duke will give you an edge, especially if you want to match at top programs on the east coast or into competitive specialties. Plus based on your pros/cons, sounds like you prefer Duke. I’m suprised you prefer UMich based on what you’ve told us in your pros/cons. But all these schools are great, and its tough to go wrong. Id cross off UW to make your decision easier, for the reasons you state. One thing I wouldnt do is focus on USNWR rankings as the above poster is suggesting, since those are pretty bogus. Best of luck w/your decision, and congrats!
